QUEER ARTIVIST
Eden Topall-Rabanes is an artist and queer activist using illustration and creative writing to question our society at large as well as individual communities. After graduating from the Royal College of Art, Eden started interviewing people from the queer community. These encounters allowed the artist to share and open discussions around topics such as HIV, addiction, transness, homosexuality, race and their intersectionality. Eden’s visual installations, books, social media content and street installations are aimed to be accessible to a wide audience. The artist’s preferred techniques include Indian ink, linocut and screen-printing, his subjects are converted into portraits and he often uses text alongside his drawings.
